Find Healing Through EMDR Therapy

Ever feel a wave of panic wash over you, a tightness in your chest that won’t let up? We can help with that.

EMDR therapy helps you process and heal experiences that may keep your nervous system stuck in survival mode, contributing to panic, emotional overwhelm, and physical stress responses in the body.

The 8 Steps of EMDR

In the safety of the therapeutic relationship, you will …

  • Explore and talk about your history, current concerns, triggers, and goals so a treatment plan can be created.

  • Be equipped with grounding, calming, and coping skills to help you feel safe and prepared for processing.

  • Identify a specific memory, image, negative belief, emotions, and body sensations connected to the experience.

  • Focus on the memory while using bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to reduce distress.

  • Strengthen a positive belief you want to associate with yourself instead of the negative belief.

  • Notice any remaining tension or discomfort in your body and process it until it feels resolved or reduced.

  • Return to a calm and stable state at the end of the session, whether or not processing is complete.

  • Review progress at the next session and determine what still needs attention or further processing.

Make Meaningful Progress in Days, Not Months.
